There's something I love about The Makers despite the fact that they sound exactly like dozens of other garage rock bands. I think a lot of it has to do with the work ethic. They've put out about a zillion studio albums and twice as many vinyl singles and EP's. Lots of bands have a single or two on labels like Estrus or Sympathy For the Record Industry (both are highly recommended if you want to collect garage rock), but only bona-fide garage rock monsters will have dozens of singles and LP's spread across the catalogs of such labels.
This particular Makers platter conjures up images of sweaty go-go dancers furiously trying to keep up. If that sounds like your scene, I can recommend this to you.
