This is a perfect hair metal album. While many of the bands in the genre are all style and little, if any, substance, White Lion always seemed classier and more talented. I put them right up there with Cinderella as a band that brings talent at every position.
Pride is the first White Lion album I ever heard, and it's a good one. It has some of their best-known hits in "Wait" and "When Children Cry." For my money it literally does not get better than "All Join Our Hands." I was listening to it while pushing my daughter in the shopping cart at the supermarket today, and I still stopped to clap my hands at the appropriate times. I can't help it. It's too good a slice of hair metal to be ignored.
