The backside of this album tells me it was recorded for $600. Although the quality of Bleach far surpasses its cheap production, this is not quite the same Nirvana that took over the world in the early 90's. They sound raw and ragged on Bleach. The angst in Cobain's voice almost drowns out every other musical quality in the songs. At the time they recorded this album, they were really close to hitting on something, but just hadn't quite hit it yet. I still enjoy Bleach quite a bit, but I tend to view it as more of a historical document than anything else.
