The Shazam - Godspeed The Shazam

There are power pop bands that lean more toward the power side of the term and those who lean more toward the pop. The Shazam are absolutely the former. Their very name is an indicator of this fact.

Godspeed the Shazam, as with all Shazam albums (including the unrelated but great Shazam by The Move), is marked by loud and crunchy guitars churning out songs based on massive hooks. One would think they were the second coming of Cheap Trick if Cheap Trick had ever gone away. It's both super and duper.
