Jellyfish - Bellybutton

Finding Bellybutton in the bargain bin of my favorite record store was something akin to finding Narnia in the back of a wardrobe. Words cannot express how blown my mind was by this album. In a very short time Jellyfish became my #2 favorite band ever. They are everything that's good about power pop. They combine Teenage Fanclub-esque songcraft with lush Left-Banke-ish arrangements and a Brian Wilson-esque fascination with production. This album cracked my brain like an egg.
