This is the album on which all the time Kings of Leon spent in England really started to show. Their early work indicated that they might be the next Lynyrd Skynyrd, but Because of the Times began to show that they might just as well be the next Smiths. The music on this album is dark, prickly, and highly engaging. It's everything you'd want from a Smiths album...or a Kings of Leon album. I just have to say that at no point in their career have Kings of Leon stopped being completely fascinating.
