The Beatifics - The Way We Never Were

One of the wonderful things about power pop is that bands in the genre literally live or die by their songwriting as no amount of jangle or shimmer can make up for a lack of good material.

I don't really know anything about The Beatifics, but I know they bring the goods. Singer Chris Dorn sounds a whole lot like John Easdale of Dramarama fame, which is fun in a power pop band. The songs are tight and the guitars are as jangly as any power pop fan would want them to be. This is a very solid power pop album and highly recommended to fans of the genre.

Baleeted? No. I always need more power pop, no matter how much I already have.
