This is the first Big Star album I ever bought and I loved it at the time. Now I'm not so big on it. I loved it because the record stores I frequented had to special order #1 Record and Third for me, so this was all the Big Star I had for the two weeks after discovering them. Though there are many good songs on this album, the studio albums themselves serve as better compilations. I would recommend this album to anyone who wants to own a Big Star album, but not listen to it. If you listen to it, you'll want more. When you get more, you'll realize that this album doesn't cut it, and it'll collect dust. That's exactly how it went for me.
