Boston. The most classic of rocks. You can have you Kansas and you may enjoy your Styx, but in terms of writing one killer album worth of material and following it up with a not quite as killer album and several not really that killer albums I'll take Boston ahead of the rest. Sure, they never really approached the incredibly high bar they set with their first album, but over the years they have churned out many quality classic rock hits. I don't know why this review has taken a backhanded compliment turn. I freaking love Boston. As a matter of fact, I'll take bands named after cities (Boston, Chicago, etc.) over bands named after states (Alabama, Kansas, etc.). I'll even take them over bands named after countries (America, Japan) bands named after continents (Asia, Europe) and bands named after planets (Earth, Mars). Boston is a foundational classic rock band. They rock hard and their songs are good. What more do you want?
