Even though I bought into the 90's incarnation of big band jazz because of a girl, I have always been a fan of old school jazz, mainly because of my father's influence. So this album with pictures of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, and Duke Ellington on the cover is right up my alley. This is as good a jazz compilation as you're likely to find anywhere. There are many defining songs on here like, "Take the A Train," "In the Mood," "Sing, Sing, Sing," "Tuxedo Juntion" and many others. This was a very enjoyable listen. Jazz never gets old, unless it's smooth jazz. Smooth jazz requires plaid pants buckled at the armpits. It was born old.
