Anything Box-Peace

This is a classic synthpop album if ever there was one. Most people will know the hit single, "Living in Oblivion" if they know anything about Anything Box. Oddly enough, this is an album that my mother objected to because of a light dusting of innuendo in one song. If you ever want your children to love an album, forbid them to listen to it. I wonder if the inverse is true. If so I will encourage my now infant daughter to listen to that horrible Black Eyed Peas song about having a good night and in so doing save her musical soul. She doesn't have to like the same music I do, but I wanted her to have a cultivated musical palate.

Anyway, family affairs aside, this is a fantastic album. The songwriting is the strongest Anything Box ever produced and the arrangements are much more sonically rich than Anything Box's later albums.
