Speaking of Anything Box's later albums, this is one of them. This is the next album after Peace if you don't count the "lost album" Worth. I know hardcore Anything Box fans (yes, they exist) would think it blasphemy if I said that with the exception of Worth, every Anything Box album after Peace just isn't that good. I guess I'm a blasphemer because despite really wanting to like every other AB release, they all fall short. Hope is no exception. It isn't as rich as Peace and isn't as deep as Worth. The songwriting is fairly weak and the arrangements sound thin. Of course Anything Box set the bar for themselves fairly high with Peace. There are still enjoyable moments on Hope. It's not a horrible album by any stretch, it's just a disappointment because Anything Box has done much better.
